Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My son, 39 years old, awoke at 5:00 am Saturday with severe chest and stomach pain.....said it felt like cramping. After about 15 minutes had projectile vomiting x3. The pain eased but never went away however, the pain has moved up to his right shoulder. Later in the day his face and eyes were puffy and as of today his urine has turned dark gold/brown. He is an avid water drinker and drinks tons of water....no sodas, drinks alcohol occasionally. He is trying to get a doctors appointment today......what do these symptoms mean?
Severe stomach pain and cramping are due to possible gallbladder problems. As the pain is located on the right shoulder, we should rule out gallbladder and pancreas issues first.
His urine has become dark gold/brown, most probably due to any renal issue.
So, highly recommend to send him to the doctor's office. If cannot as soon as possible, should send to ER as he needs immediate evaluation, various diagnostic tests and immediate treatment.
The people in the ER will handle this. Once again, your son's case is an emergency.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Albana Sejdini, General & Family Physician
