What Causes Severe Pain In The Finger Joints After Joints Replacement Procedure?
I had a joint replacement (rubber replacement) on my middle finger at the hand joint on Oct. 21st. It has been really painful and drawing for the past week. I am still having trouble bending it and after bending I try to straighten it back up and it is worse pain, then try to straighten it myself and the paid is worse. I called my doctor, went to see him and seems he doesnt care it s not his hand. I also had my thumb joint repaired with tight rope procedure, my index finger repaired with joints put back together and carpal tunnel surgery all at same time. The thumb is still tight too but not as painful as the middle finger. I am an Adm. Assistant and using the computer is my full time job of typing.. HELP??? Thank you Rhonda
Most probably it will be an inflammatory pain. As of now, you can use analgesics/anti-inflammatory combination like aceclofenac/serratiopeptidase for symptomatic relief. If symptoms persist better to consult an orthopaedician and get evaluated.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
