What Causes Severe Pain In The Head And Spine After An Injury?

A trash can weighing about 100 pounds fell on my head and it felt like my spine Bent backwards. I heard a pop in severe pain what do you think it is and what should I do I have no money right now. That s why I can t go to the doctor here. I guess I have to suffer and dead with it. Thought drs were supposed to have compensate

Hello and welcome to HCM.
Sorry to hear you have to go through such agony.
Considering you dont have any open wound due to the impact as you have not mentioned about it anywhere in your query,If I were your treating doctor,I recommend-
-take tab paracetamol or acetaminophen for pain relief as and when needed.
-apply cold compresses to the painful area on head and back
-have plenty of rest.
-avoid taking sedatives,alcohol,anti inflammatory drugs like ibuprofen unless with physician's prescription.
-report immediately to ER if you have symptoms like worsening headache,nausea,vomiting,vision problems,bleeding from anywhere eye.Have some one with you to take care of you.
May I know if this accident happened at your workplace?If there is risk to its exposure again in future,you need to prevent it by using the metal cap at workplace or avoiding the area where the heavy objects are carried up.
