What Causes Severe Pain In The Head While Suffering From Shingles?

Recently, I had shingles. A week or so prior to the appearance of sores, I had a shooting pain on the left side of my head. All the sores have healed, but I still have the occasional shooting pain in my head. Also, I was on Wellbutrin XL for about 10 years and had panic attacks when I tried to quit. I spent a year trying different ways to quit (cold turkey), taking pill every other day. Eventually, the attacks lessened. Wondering if these issues are related.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

No, it is not related to your drug history and shooting pain, but there may be other cause associated with this headache. You may take help of physiotherapy for relieving your headache as it may be due to muscle spasm.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nirav Nimavat
