What Causes Severe Pain In The Hips After Receiving Cortisone Injections?
i just got two cortisone injections in my hips today by an orthopedic doctor. I have had them before at my pcp s office but finally went to see an orthopedic just to confirm it was my bursa sacs and not something else. The doctor confirmed it and gave me the two shots. He told me that his office is more capable of giving the shots correctly. His PA gave me the shots and I did notice he was much more aggressive and it hurt more. So ... I left the office, but did not rest as I should have. Now my hips are hurting to the point it is hard to walk and I can t sleep. I took Motrin and now have ice on my hips. Is this normal? This never happened when I had shots before ...
Please provide me with your age, sex, Cortisone doses and since you are taking. If possible get done ct scan or MRI of the hip joint. Chronic cortisone therapy in old age can damage hip bones. Revert me after MRI or CT reports.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
