Hi,

Pain at the index finger and shoulder blade causes is definitely nerve root compression. There are 3 options:
1. Medical treatment which calms down nerve activity and pain decreases
2. Cervical epidural steroid injection is very promising for your problem used under X-ray guidance
3. Surgical treatment to free the nerve from compression

Hence, kindly visit a pain physician or neurosurgery.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
