What Causes Severe Pain In The Joints, Headache And Diarrhea?

A week ago I developed severe joint pain all over my body, a very bad cough, chills, fatique, diarrhea , headache and spent 3 days with sleeping and total bed rest. I still have the cough am week and my back still bothers me, is this a viral infection as many people in our area are having many of the same symptoms? What can I do for it?

Hi,

This condition looks like acute influenza viral attack with post viral syndrome.

You need to keep yourself hydrated properly and can take medication for both antibiotics as you said a cough continues and for generalized body pain. The later one can be simply treated with Tylenol.

You don't need to be apprehensive because this is self-healing condition and will be over in a week even if you don't take medication but remember to maintain the hydration.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
