What Causes Severe Pain In The Joints Of The Hands And Wrists?

. What is a concern is I have a lot of joints pain. Specially in the hands, arms, knuckles, wrists and in fingers. It s been 1 month now that i have this pain in body and in my bones but I wasn t aware of the typhoid fever untill now that i went through blood test and after my doctor diagnosed it, but now my finger got swelled up and they hurts!! please suggest me something ??? because I m really worried. I also have other joint pains in the hands and knuckles and feet too. The pain is more espesially in the mornings. But i donot have fever. Only v.slight muscle pain and lot of pain in the joints. 1. I have heard that the typhoid might live in joints for very long time too. Is this true..If yes, what should be my next step to get treated.? 2. Or is this just viral arthritis and would this subside with time..? 3. By when can I start my activities(dance /running)? Should i take a long break from these.? 4. will my fingers and hands gonna b fine ? please do suggest something !!

Hello,

1. While dealing with 'arthritis' one should remember that there is no single drug/medicine that treats or cures the same, thus what requires a multidisciplinary approach that uses both medication and alternative or lifestyle strategies that may help decrease and improve symptoms.

2. The attending Physician/Rheumatologist may recommend physical therapy, moist heat, regular aerobic exercise, relaxation, and stress reduction to help self-manage symptoms.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
