What Causes Severe Pain In The Knees After A Meniscus Repair Surgery?

Hi! I had a meniscus repair done on my right knee around 2 months ago. I have been told I can go back to simple sport like biking and running last week and have done this. However, after a small 20 minute bike or a 1k run my knee has acute pain for up to 2 hours after, although not during the activity’s. I’m hoping this is nothing major to worry about and I just need to rest it a bit more and try again in a few weeks. However looking online all I can see is negativity. I’m scared about getting my meniscus removed as I play semi-pro soccer and haven’t even turned 20 yet, and I’m aware that meniscus removal is career ending. Hope I get a positive answer! Thanks.
