What Causes Severe Pain In The Left Groin Area?

i have had a pain in my left side groin. its painful all the time. ive had this for more than three years. with my more physical job it seems to be getting worse. i am not running any fevers or no trouble with urinating. my knees on n off burn but thats all of my symptoms

In a physical job in particular, I think the first thing I would have checked is the presence of absence of a hernia. You are certainly in the right line of work to be at risk for one! Absent that, I would have your doctor check for signs of infection or inflammation in the testes, scrotum and attached structures (eg the epididymis) which can cause pain that area., as well as the hip flexor tendons. Finally, arthritis in the hip can often present as groin pain, so an x-ray may reveal the problem.
