What Causes Severe Pain In The Legs?

I completed a 5 mile run walk 6 days ago. The inner side of knee well below the knee cap on both legs is very painful still. So much so that it is painful to walk. I cannot find any diagrams for the knee area that include this low inner section. Can you give me a clue as to what term I should use on your web site to find information for this matter?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

I understand your concern.

I think you have torn your knee meniscus or ligaments while completing your 5 mile walk 6 days ago.

You should apply cold compresses locally together with analgesic cream.
Take oral pain killers together with glucosamine and hialuronic acid supplement.

If still no improvement, orthopedic specialist to see further and run X-ray and MRI of the knee.

Hope this helps.
