What Causes Severe Pain In The Lower Abdomen After Intercourse?

Hello doctor, I just had intercourse with my partner and after we finished, i had sever pain in my lower belly and my vagina. I also threw up a lot of times but after couple of minutes the pain went away and felt like nothing happened. To mention, the same thing happened to me four months ago and lately I feel pain occasionally in the same area knowing that I didn t have intercourse for a month now till tonight.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

* So far as symptoms narrated here, the first episode may be in concern with intercourse either accidental or manifestation of previously existing condition.

* Now as there is no intercourse since one month and pain is there, means that there is pelvic pathology as ovarian cyst or others
responsible for pain.

* I strongly recommend to undertake an ultrasound of the abdomen & pelvis for further guidelines.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
