What Causes Severe Pain In The Lower Abdomen After Tubal Ligation?

I had ablation and tubal ligation about 5 years ago. Since then I have had sever pain in my ovaries once or twice a month sometimes more. I have had several test with no results. The pain has put me in the emergency room on several occasions over the past 2 years. Any ideas of what could be causing this. I am 50 years old.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for the query. I understand your concern.
pain In ovary area after up to 5 years of ligation can be-
-Pain due to chronic appendicitis (in right side pain)
-pain due to digestive system like diverticulitis
- Or Tubo ovarian mass causing the pain.
Exact diagnosis by an expert surgeon ... needful investigations like usg scanning /MRI would help in deciding exact treatment plan.
Please consult a surgeon./gastroenterologist
Thanks
