What Causes Severe Pain In The Lower Arm After Cubital Tunnel Surgery?

1 month ago, I had cubical tunnel surgery. Recovery was fine, with slight numbness still there on pinky 1/2 of my hand. 4 days ago, I developed a horrible , terrible pain on my lower arm running into my 4th and 5th fingers. Percocet has helped control the pain. I had an mi yesterday. And am seeing the doc tomorrow. The nurse said there was a cyst or water sac by my elbow. Will I need another surgery to fix this.

Hello,

Cubital tunnel syndrome can cause an aching pain on the inside of the elbow. Most of the symptoms, however, occur in your hand. These symptoms are usually seen in more severe cases of nerve compression. If the nerve is very compressed or has been compressed for a long time, muscle wasting in the hand can occur.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
