As you are 60, there will be degenerative changes in the spine leading to
nerve entrapment. Also, medicine which you mentioned above may not lead to an increase in pain but will help reduce the one.
I will advise doing simple exercises which helps the muscles of the
lumbar spine and lower limb to get the strength to maintain the joint space.
The exercise which you can perform to improve the joint space and regain muscle strength are - core stability, spinal muscle strengthening exercises, hip muscle strengthening exercises, static Quadriceps, static
hamstring, straight leg raise, knee to chest, ankle toe movements, bridging exercise.
In my clinical practice, most patients above age 50 are helped with low-intensity exercises and medicine combination.
