What Causes Severe Pain In The Lower Back On The Right Side?

For two weeks now, lower right back excruciating pain, especially when I get out of sitting position or kneeling. Not muscular, more inside. Doesn t hurt when I press on it. Spine does not hurt. No inflammation or redness. Thought it was weed pulling, but have let it rest for 2 weeks and not better. Hurts sometimes just laying in bed. Right now, hurts so bad, sitting in chair, bad when I lean forward. YYYY@YYYY

Hi,

The pain looks like because of spine issue. This can be because of disc prolapse or due to ligament tear too. You need to take rest and avoid upright position for a longer time.

Also check of there is any radiation of pain to same side of the leg too. For proper diagnosis and management, you need to visit an orthopaedic surgeon and also may need an X-ray or CT scan done too.

You can manage the pain by taking analgesics (NSAID) medication only after consulting your doctor.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
