What Causes Severe Pain In The Lower Back?

Last night about 9 pm I suddenly felt this sharp pain in my lower back. The pain is right below waistline on my right side. It has continued this sharp constant pain throughout my lower back, I can even feel a little in my upper back. I have to walk, sit, do everything cautiously because I know if I bend over or turn a certain way, the really intense pain will shoot through my back. It is so painful it brought me to my knees getting out my car. What is causing this?

A sharp pain in the lower back can be caused because of any stones formed in the kidney, usually the pain starts in the lower back and can radiate to the abdomen and may be associated with symptoms of pain and burning sensation while passing urine. Please drink lots of fluids and advise you to visit for further investigation.
