What Causes Severe Pain In The Lower Back?

I have a heavy lower back pain that comes every 2nd day. I make sure that I m regular, but it feels like swollen or heavyness. This feeling is on my left side always, lately I feel it becomes more often and more a longer period. Should I worry. My doctor says it is maybe arthritis but to me I sense as if it is in bowels and not a joint issue.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

There are many causes of lower back pain as muscle stretch, the referred pain of calculus in the ureter, bowel issues and so forth.

The exact location of pain, type, radiation if anywhere and associated symptoms concerning GIT and urinary tract are very essential here to advise authentically in a sound way, which would be appreciable in follow up for further discussion.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Purva Patel, General & Family Physician
