Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Have had pain in mid back and lower abdoman for 5 years. Excruciating pain about once a month. Six months ago I was in the hospital to have lower right lobe removed due to lung cancer. Since my release I now have pain daily. I throw up and pain lasts 3-5 hours. Have had CT Scans, x-rays, injections from spine and pain clinics, Lidocaine patches, oxycodone and oxycontin. Nothing stops the pain. Oncologist states there is no cancer. Colonoscopy and esphogus exams are all negative. What could be causing this dibilitating pain?
Hi In the meanwhile I can suggest some lifestyle changes: -Avoid prolonged sitting. Move around after every 1 hour of sitting. - Use semi-soft mattress that provides enough support and is also flexible enough to bend according to the contours of the spine. -Take calcium and vitamin D supplements after getting tested. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
