I am having dry socket strong type pain in my mouth after a piece of broken toothe root worke its hay out 3 days ago, need strongest pain relief from the shelf at Walmart because there I no where else to go I had all lower teeth removed last august and not fully healed yet
Dry socket is really a painful condition and it occurs when after tooth extraction the blood clot falls off that is responsible to heal the extraction socket..
It is common seen after a traumatic extraction also and mostly become symptomatic after a 5-7 days post extraction..
If you have a dry socket and have not treated it then it can be a cause of severe pain in the extraction site along with swelling and foul smell in mouth..
So for the acute pain you should immediately consult a Dentist and get examined..
For dry socket he can place medicated dressing into the empty socket that has a pain relieving and healing action. It should be changed every alternate day. Along with it a short script of antibiotics and anti inflammatory painkillers will also be advised. If other areas are not fully healed then the cause needs to be ruled out as if there is some other medical condition like Diabetes then healing can be slow and needs a proper management..
Hope this helps.. Regards.
