What Causes Severe Pain In The Muscles After Withdrawing From Levaquin?

Hi, How long after stopping Levaquin does the terrible pain in joints,muscles and tendons. I took thelast dose of 5 a dayyesterday at 7:00 am . The dose was 750 mg, once a day. This is very painful ! YYYY@YYYY

I can understand your pain and discomfort. You were taking Levaquin (levofloxacin) 750mg once a day. Levaquin will be generally used to fight bacterial infection most commonly pneumonia and bronchitis.

Levaquin is a very safe drug with minimal side effects. But in a very few patients it may cause withdrawal symptoms which we can suspect.

In most of the cases of over dosage also may cause side effects. These side effects can be joint and muscle pains. In your case the most probable cause might be over dosage of levaquin which can cause side effects in some people.

So wait for some time, the symptoms will be relieved as the drug will get metabolized day by day.
1. drink more amount of water.
2. take non steroidal anti inflammatory drugs.
