What Causes Severe Pain In The Neck And Buttocks After Taking Tylenol?

I have a lot of pain in my neck and hips/buttocks. I ve had this pain for some time now, especially in the hips/buttocks, but the severe neck pain is new since I had the flu two weeks ago. I am taking arthritis strength Tylenol 2-3 times a day. I also have bronchitis that will not go away since the flu. It doesn t get any worse or better, just stays the same every day. I am wondering if all this is related and should I see a Dr.

Hello,

The pain on the neck seems to be related to myalgia.

The symptoms can be related to the viral infection.

I suggest you use an anti-inflammatory cream such as Voltaren cream.

I also recommend using warm compresses for local relief.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Hi,

If both the complaints pain and bronchitis after flu, they can be labelled as after effect of the infection.

The pain not relieved at all with Tylenol arthritis strength. Some other drug like Brufen (over the counter) can be tried. In case of no relief, other possibilities should be scrutinized. It can be neurogenic pain related to a spinal problem.

Bronchitis has an allergic cause basically. Specific treatment by a chest physician after needful investigations would help you.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
