What Causes Severe Pain In The Neck Radiating To The Jaw And Head?
Hello. I have severe pain on my neck, leading to my jaws and my head with inability to sneeze and difficulty in belching. I also have a sharp pointed pain in my left chest with pains below the left side of my breast. I have sought medical attention, done x- rays, echography but I am told all the time I am Ok. Pls I really need quick help. Thanks
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of severe pain in the neck radiating to the jaw and head which is mainly due to temporomandibular joint dislocation.
Nothing to be panic. I would suggest you to not to eat any hard substances and do not open your jaw too wide. You should take muscle relaxant and try to bring back jaw in normal position once it is over stretched. Do a luke warm hot and cold fermentation to suppress swelling and pain. Start taking anti inflammatory analgesics for the joint dislocation. Do mouth stretching exercises. You should consult dentist once and get it evaluated. Go for radiographs like OPG and TMJ views to confirm the diagnosis and start treatment accordingly.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
