What Causes Severe Pain In The Neck?

Hello Doctor,My wife suffers from neck pain which can be severe.This pain shoots into her head from time to time. Another day and her neck would be fine but the pain would be in one of her feet giving a swollen effect. So the pain moves from neck to feet and back again. Any answers would be appreciated. your wife should do an MRI imaging on her neck and back,probably its a disc prolapse of the vertebra,,she should not do any effort nowadays with complete rest till you do the imaging...
