Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
i have arm pain that is moving around from my shoulder , rhomboid muscle area , forearm , back of my hand under the middle finger knuckle and front of hand right below the same knuckle. Moving doesn t seem to aggrivate or relieve the pain. it s an aching and pulsing pain. it doesn t hurt all of those areas at once , it kind of jumps around. Putting above mild pressure on those areas does increase the pain in those areas. it also occassionally feels like the pain is radiating from my arm pit. When the pain is in my shoulder/armpit/rhomboid area it s hard to tell where its coming from. It feels deep. This is my right arm. Started about 6 days ago and has been increasing in intensity and was originally isolated to just my shoulder. When my forearm and fingers start to feel it it locks my hand up a little bit making my hand feel weaker. I work out mildly several times a week but havn t since the pain came on. I don t sleep on my side. I stretch and eat well. I m fit. 30 yrs old. not sure what else i can give you but would love some help figuring this out. Advile/Tylonol/aspirin don t seem to help.
Your feeling of pain and weakness in arm seems to be due to lack of exercise, and muscle weakness and soreness. Your BP is slightly high. I will suggest you following:
Regular exercise, and weight training.
High protein diet, low fat diet.
Iron and folic acid supplements.
Tablet Telmisartan 40 one per day.
Tab ibuprofen SOS, and local application of Diclofenac gel, when pain is severe.
Hope I have answered your query. If any thing else you are welcome. Good luck.
Take care.
Regards,
Dr. Ivan R. Rommstein, General Surgeon
