What Causes Severe Pain In The Right Buttock And Ankle?

Hi...I have pain deep in my right buttock that is starting to radiate down to my ankle. This pain is worse when standing after sitting for a few minutes and is worse after sitting for an extended period of time like a church service or concert. Quick turns send a sharp pain down my leg. No pain in my back or left hip, but this situation in my right hip is has become annoying and uncomfortable, even causing difficulties when trying to turn over in bed.

Hello,

Pain in buttock region radiating towards leg and ankle can be due to compression of spinal nerves. I suggest you to consult your orthopedist for clinical assessment and relevant investigations like MRI of spine.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
