Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi there, I have quite acute pain in my right eye if I push, rub or touch my eye. It feels like the pain runs through the back of the eye as well. There is no discharge from my eye however it is very red and when I go out into the light the pin also occurs. This has happened about 4 times over the past 6 months, never with any discharge like conjunctivitis though.
Probably it will be due to conjunctivitis. Consult an ophthalmologist and start the treatment at the earliest. As of now, you can take analgesics like acetaminophen for pain relief. Do not rub the eyes.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
