What Causes Severe Pain In The Right Shoulder Blade?
For over a year I have been having terrible pain in my right shoulder blade. I can easily crack it and have noticed it has been getting tighter. I eat healthy (vegan diet) and I m physically fit. Stretching helps but the pain always comes back. I first got the pain by doing strength training. Any advice?
I think you have a nerve root entrapment. There might even change in the normal lordosis curvature. Taking up an x-ray or MRI will reveal the position of the bony structures and soft tissues as well.
If there is a cord compression there will be a pain on/off which will be leading to trapezius muscle to become spasm. So the shoulder blade pain as there is the insertion of the trapezius muscle over the spine of the scapula.
I will advise to use a cervical soft collar and use hot water fermentation. Do some myofascial release for the trapezius muscle which will even help release the spasm. Start some low-intensity neck muscle strengthening exercises. You should do well in 2 weeks of time.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
