What Causes Severe Pain In The Scrotum?

I ve been getting involved in a lot of sexual activities in the last five year. Now my left testicle is hanging lower than my right one. I ve been feeling a lot of pain in my scrotum and left side of my groin ever the discovery. When I touch the painful area of my scrotum, I can feel my epididymis and start to feel more pain. What might be the problem?

Radiation Oncologist 's  Response
Hi,

Are you having multiple sexual partners or a lot of sexual activity with the same partner? The symptoms you are experiencing could be due to infection and can be treated with appropriate antibiotics. The other less likely possibility is torsion of the testis, in which the cord which hangs the testis gets twisted and results in pain, this is an emergency condition requires attention at the earliest. Kindly show to a urologist and get it checked.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
