What Causes Severe Pain In The Sternum And Around The Ribs?
Extreme pain in sternum, across and around my ribs under my arm. Hot bath helps it some. Thought I was having a heart attack earlier as ive never felt this before, I was at work about to lift when it happened, Im a strong guy and didnt even really start the lift when it hit.

It seems musculoskeletal pain as the application of heat (hot bath) gives relief.
Usually, this type of pain is temporary and responds to a combination of analgesic and muscle relaxant ( e.g Chlorzoxazone, Diclofenac, Paracetamol) with proton pump inhibitor like oral pantoprazole.
