What Causes Severe Pain In The Stomach Along With Breathing Difficulty?

I ve been having severe stomach pain for 6 days. It is constant & feels like someone is wringing it out like a sponge. I am also having some trouble breathing, shortness of breath, but I thought that might be due to my heart rate, which for the last two months has been 100, with a BP of 60/80. Should I be concerned or will it go away? Thank you.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

It would be best to be seen. Severe abdominal pain should always be assessed physically (by examination of the abdomen), to rule out a surgical cause.

Imaging of the abdomen by X-ray or ultrasound or CT (depends on the examination findings)- may also be necessary.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Michelle Gibson James,
