What Causes Severe Pain In The Tailbone And Hips?

i had 2 xrays taken for severe hip and tailbone pain, 2 years ago i bounced as hard as i could on an air mattress in a sitting position i hit my tailbone on the hardwood floor i thought i had paralyzed myself i couldnt move for atleast 30 minutes i am wondering if the black spots on my hip are arthiritis, and if my tailbone is shattered after 2 years it hasnt healed whatsoever, ive just learned to deal with the pain and to constantly reposition myself any info is helpful...

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

It looks like you should get clinically examined & get repeat X-Ray done to detect the degree of injury you have on the tailbone. Tailbone injury / fracture takes time to heal. Consult an orthopedics & get treated at the earliest. In the meantime, sit on a doughnut cushion / pillow, take NSAIDS for relieve, avoid sitting for a long time(change positions). Avoid constipation for better bowel movement.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K, General & Family Physician
