What Causes Severe Pain In The Throat?
Hello, It is going on day 5 since I have had a very painful sore throat. Went to the doctor and rapid strep test was negative. No antibiotics given since doc said it was viral. I have congestion and coughing mainly at night. The very back of my tongue is extremely tender. My ears hurt a bit. Wondering how long this will last.. should I go back to the doctor? Very painful to swallow as well. Uvula was so swollen on the third day.

yes it seems viral you should take proper bed rest so that ur body conserve energy for healing to comes and take lot of water and fluids stay hydrated it will cover within week do saline garglings do vocal rest
