Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have severe stabbing pain in the tragus part of my ear. I do not have any of the following: -Itching and/or irritation around your ear canal -Swelling of the tragus -Pressure inside the ear -Feeling of fullness in the ear -Jaw pain -Scaly skin or dried wax around the ear -Stiffness of the jaw -Alteration of hearing (mostly reduced) and a few others. This happens a lot while I sleep and wakes me up as well as during the day....like now. I ve been having this for months off and on. Thank you,

What Causes Severe Pain In The Tragus?
Hello, Most probably it will be a local inflammation. As of now, you can use analgesics/anti-inflammatory combination like Aceclofenac/Serratiopeptidase for symptomatic relief. If symptoms persist you can consult an ENT specialist and evaluated. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Regards, Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
