What Causes Severe Pain In The Upper Abdomen While Suffering From Gallstones?

I am female 53 years old diagnosed with gall bladder solitary stone 1.8cm ,and gall blader thickenss of 5 mm. i suffered 2 years ago of acute pain and presented to A&E since then, suffer from upper abdomen chronic pain whack has partly improved with PPI . i had also diagnosed with H.Pylori infection for which i have received antibiotic course for 2 weeks. i still have mild epigastric colic while kept on PPI. do I need surgery to remove gall bladder ?

Yes, the treatment for a symptomatic gallstone should be a surgery. Moreover, as you said your pain is chronic. So, you probably could do with a surgery and it's really important to do that to prevent any further serious complications. I hope it's helpful.
