Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have acute, sharp pain in my left upper to middle back of 2 days duration. It s a shooting pain that occurs every 7 to 20 seconds. It is not related to my breathing, although I do have a chronic cough from asthma and bronchiectasis. No history of heart disease. 52 year old female. I have a 25 year history of chronic migraine and 5 prior TIAs (last one over 10 years ago).
The sharp shooting pain points towards nerve compression pain. So your neurological evaluation should be done. If it comes normal than your asthma or bronchiectasis might be culprit for that. I suggest you consult physician for detailed evaluation.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Parth Goswami,
General & Family Physician
