What Causes Severe Pain In Thigh While Lying Back?

Hi, while doing front squats the other day I felt a relatively big pop in my right groin area at the bottom of the squat. Since then my inner thigh hurts if I lie on my back, pull my knees up, and let my right knee fall slowly sideways and raise it back up towards the left knee - it hurts more when I am raising it. However, the real pain is when I lie flat on my back and try to raise my right leg (keeping it straight). The pain is unbearable and I can t actually raise my leg. My doctor has suggested it might be a adductor tear, but I have also heard that this is extremely rare in men. I am awaiting to see a specialist, so would really appreciate your insight and possible exercises / stretches to help ease the pain. Thanks, Anthony

Hi
Such a pain after an exercise could be a muscle tear as your doctor rightly said or a sprain. To ease the pain till you meet the specialist, i advice you reduce activities(rest) and take pain medication like ibuprofen.
