What Causes Severe Pain In Upper Left Arm?
I am a 59yo male with asthma I have a pain in my upper left arm by no chest pains it hurts to move and lay on my left arm I have not lifted anything to cause the pain to my knowledge I noticed it this morning and it seems to have gotten worse as the day progressed

It could be a musculoskeletal pain. It could be muscle strain or any ligament tear.
However, I would suggest you investigate with local part x-ray for further work up.
Meanwhile, an anti-inflammatory drug like Brufen can be prescribed. A hot compress can be applied over that.
