Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Severe Pain In Upper Leg And Lump In Left Groin?
In June, 2013, I underwent emergency surgery to repair six tears in my right femoral and external îleac arteries following an angeogram. The operation went well and I made a full recovery. For the last 7 months, I have had a lot of pain in the upper leg. A lump has now appeared in my left groin. What should I do?
As per my clinical experience, lump on left groin does indicate possible delayed hematoma formation. Following information are needed to evaluate the case as: - Intake of any blood thinner as aspirin, clopidrogel or else. - Atherosclerosis risk factors as smoking, diabetes if any - Current status of dopplerwise blood flow to concerned territories
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Take care.
Regards, Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
