What Causes Severe Pain On Anus Area?

Hi, I am experiencing extreme pain in my anus area....it actually is localized along the anococcygeal ligament....I checked for hemmorroids and/or fissers (sorry for the spelling) externally and there aren't any. I don't know what could have caused it, but is it possible that I have a pulled/strained anococcygeal ligament? How can I treat it?

HI
Well come to HCM
Thank for asking
your query being appreciated, such anal pain could be due to inflammatory condition and it could be due to infection or the trauma and both need to be differentiated, you can not your self able to get the idea of what exactly is there, but it may creates the different impression of different condition, so in my opinion clinical examination is must now, even I would not suggest to teat the condition on symptomatic basis, it may be formation of abscess due to infection, it may be just a muscular spasm, hope this information helps.
