What Causes Severe Pain On Mid-back And Sudden Pain In Knees?

I have sever pain on the left middle side of my back. This sudden pain brought me to my knees 3 weeks ago. Dr stated I have sever arthritis and believes my bones may be moving. He wants to do back surgery putting screws and such in my back. I don t want this. Can you suggest an alternative?

If doctor is suggesting you then it means your problem is quite serious. For you alternative is usually physiotherapy but it takes time till improvements are noticed. So my advise is stick to your consultants advice.
