very recently I have been experiencing severe pain on the heels of my foot. It is especially more painful when I get out of bed during sleep. What can you tell me is the problem and how can I solve it? Thanks!

Hi,

The severe pain you are experiencing on the heels on your foot could be due to:
- arthritis
- bone indent
- or any other pathology related to ligaments

I highly advise to run X-ray of the heel in order to evaluate the changes there. Apply analgesic cream locally, take oral pain killers.

Try to do stretching exercise once you wake up in the morning. Glucosamine taken for 3 months at least can help reduce the inflammation.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Albana Sejdini,
