What Causes Severe Pain On The Left Leg?

I woke up Monday and fell because of a sever pain in my left side of my left leg that went up into my butt. I could barely walk but I went into work and as the day went on it felt a lot better and by Monday night the pain was gone so I thought I just slept on it wrong. Well today is Thursday and the pain is back but mainly in my left butt area. I m concerned that it could be a blockage.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for the query. I understand your concern.
The pain in left leg &buutt. area csn be due to muscle or tendon infkammation/joint pain/nerve pinching in lumber spine.
Take rest. Hot/cold compress/gentle application of muscle relaxant /pain medication like Ibuprofen orally would relieve pain.
In case it recurs /does not respond.. you have to consult an orthopedic surgeon &follow his expert advise ( medicines, steroid local injection, physiothrapy ) /MRI o pin point lumber vertebral problem &needful management.
Thanks.
