What Causes Severe Pain On The Left Side Of The Abdomen Under The Ribs?

have really sharp pain on the left side of stomach ,right underneath the ribs ,been going on for a while and it just keeps progressing. Hard for me to sleeps.I also have sharp pain more like needle pricks on both of arms, the pain start from the shoulders to the elbows, my arms tenet to fall asleep.

detailed answer:
There are many reasons to occur pain in this areas. most common reasons are muscular pains like muscles spasms due to unusual activities or costochondritis. however according to your description you have some neuropathic condition in your both arms which may be due to diabetes or cervical problem. Other possibility is left side arm pain can occur in ischemic heart disease due to referred pain. However before treating you it's better to have an ECG to check cardiac status. If ischemic heart condition unlikely you may benefit from some NSAIDs type pain killers like diclofenac sodium with some mild muscle relaxant. Thank you.
