What Causes Severe Pain On Top Of Head Behind The Skull?
I have a lot of pain on top of my head located in the right back side where the soft spot of my skull is. I quit drinking a month ago (alcohol) I was a heavy drinker. 12 pack a day. I also just started using a mask for sleep apnea recently too. I ve had this head ache for three days constantly and it isn t improving. Any ideas?
As a former drinker, then could be related to alcohol withdrawal. However to me should check your blood pressure and sugar level, record the results for reference.
Plus an X-ray of the neck vertebral spine is recommended to rule out spondyloarthrosis. Apply local analgesic cream. Take paracetamol or ibuprofen for the pain. Magnesium supplement can help too.
Discuss this further with your caring doctor.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Albana Sejdini, General & Family Physician
