What Causes Severe Pain On Top Of Head Radiating Down The Back Of Head?

I hit the top of my head, hard, on a top bunk of a bunk bed about a week ago. It shot extremely strong pains down the back side of my head. No bump. But if I gently touch the spot now it shoots those pains down my head again. Is this something I need to be concerned about.

Hi,

There is no need to worry. Just take an analgesic like Ibuprofen tablets for 3 days. Take after food along with one glass of water to avoid gastric upset. This probably suggests a contusion there. If it is not getting down by then, we can evaluate further.
