Hi,

Severe pain under the arms in children can be caused by various conditions, some of which are:
* Lymphadenitis: This is an infection of the lymph nodes which can cause painful swelling under the arms. It could cause a bacterial infection but antibiotics can treat it.
* Injury: Trauma or injury to the area under the arms can cause pain. This can be due to falls, sports injuries, or even tight clothing.
* Costochondritis: It's when the cartilage connecting the ribs to the breastbone gets inflamed. It can cause pain in the arms and is often treated with anti-inflammatory medication.
* Muscle strain: Overuse of the muscles in the arms or shoulders can lead to muscle strain and pain. This can be due to repetitive motion, such as in sports or work-related activities.
* Neuropathic pain: This is pain that is caused by damage to the nerves that transmit signals from the arms to the brain. It can be caused by various conditions, such as diabetes or nerve damage from injury.

It is important to have your daughter evaluated by a healthcare provider, as they can perform a thorough examination and order any necessary tests to determine the cause of her pain. A neurologist may be able to provide further evaluation and treatment options if necessary.
