What Causes Severe Pelvic Pain After Having A Laproscopic Hysterectomy?

Hi, I had a laparoscopic hysterectomy on the 29th of July removing ovaries also. I unfortunately had collection of blood in my pelvis which became badly infected and was in hospital for 5 days receiving treatment for this. The last 3 days when I use the toilet I have quite a bad pain as I relax my muscles and I am worried this could be bladder or bowel prolapse, could it just be my body healing from where they removed everything vaginally?

Hello There

After going through your medical query I understand your concern and I would like to tell you that hysteroscopy itself is a painful procedure and few women develop UTI after that. Kindly take antibiotics advised and take plenty of fluids.

Hopefully this information will guide you properly.

Kind Regards
Dr Bhanu Partap
