What Causes Severe Pressure In The Chest With Breathing Difficulty?

I have recently started experiencing a pressure on my chest. It happens usually when i m asleep, but has happened when i was awake too. There s a little difficulty breathing but mostly i m scared to take a deep breath because of the pain. I sleep on my stomach, but i ve never had a problem before. It s been occurring off and on for the last couple of months.

Hello,

This severe pressure may be due to rib problems, lungs tissues problems. I will give some Tests which will reveal the problem and proper treatment can be done.

I would like to give some tests:

1. Chest X-Ray
2. Spirometry
3. ECG
4. Complete Blood Count including Serum ferritin
5. Test for C-Reactive Protein
6. D-Dimer Test

I would also like to ask some questions:
1. Is there any sounds coming out with breathing?
2. Do you feel feverish?
3. Is there any cough?
4. Is there any headache associated with this?

5. Do you have excessive sweating or palpitation?

I would like to suggest this medication. Salbutamol Inhaler. When there is breathing difficulty, you can take two puffs. Please see how to take in the manual given.
