What Causes Severe Radiating Pain In Right Knee, Leg And Foot?

I have extreme begins in right knee and travels down front of leg to top of foot. When driving the pain is intense. I hit my knee about a month ago when I ran into a chair. It hurt then however went away. Do I need a doctor? Do I need Ice or heat? It is worse when driving, however, just walking in the house it can hurt. I am a caregiver and am always very busy on my feet. Thank you for your help. YYYY@YYYY

Hello,

From your description, I am of the opinion that there might be some inflammatory selling in your knee. To differentiate from an infection you should undergo CBC, ESR, CRP. for inflammation, you should Take warm compress, NSAIDs, and have an x-ray done to confirm the diagnosis.
